I’m Dr. Lauren Chavis, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I’m excited to be a part of the wonderful
group of therapists at the Eagle Therapist Collective!
I’m here to support you in discovering your unique strengths and creating a fulfilling life. I truly
believe that with a willingness to engage both in and out of sessions, there’s a great
opportunity for meaningful change and personal growth. My favorite moments as a therapist
are when clients share that everything we’ve been working on “clicks,” bringing them a sense of
pride and peace.
A Little About My Professional Background…
I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients of all ages, from preschool age to elders, with a
special focus on adolescents and adults. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help my clients build
valuable skills for overcoming current challenges and preparing for the future. I also provide
Independent Psychological Evaluations for veterans seeking benefits from the VA.
My curiosity about psychology began before college, but my studies at UC Santa Cruz truly
ignited my passion. I went on to earn my master’s at Pepperdine University, where I worked
with children on the autism spectrum. I completed my educational journey at William James
College in Boston, and I had the opportunity to intern at Regional Mental Health Center just
outside of Chicago, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente in the Bay Area.
I’ve recently completed training to gain my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate, giving me the
tools to support families navigating infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum challenges.
I’m excited to offer psychological testing to provide insight and clarity about diagnosis as well as
personalized recommendations to help you better understand your (or your child’s) academic,
cognitive and emotional functioning. In addition to testing and in-person appointments at the
Eagle Therapist Collective, I offer virtual sessions to clients across Idaho and California.
Let’s Work Together!
I use evidence-based, person-centered and solution-focused therapy methods to help clients
make meaningful changes. Some of my focus areas are:
Outside of work, I love exploring the beautiful seasons of Idaho with my husband, daughter,
and our lovable dog—whether it’s hiking or sledding. I’m on a personal journey focusing on self-
care and incorporating balance into my daily life.
I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward meaningful change!
All the best,
Dr. Lauren Chavis
